Kagawong

Challenging departure from Little Current with current and wind …... We are off.

Some chop crossing West Bay as we are exposed to winds from the north on our beam.

Tucked into this town dock between that pile of rocks and the end of the dock.

Three other Loop boats followed us in to port to wait out incoming rain.

Family reunion on the island. We will be here for a week and maybe more looking at strong winds coming in this week.
Very special time for all of us. Thanks to our hosts.

So wonderful to have met you today in Kagawong. The North Channel is the loveliest cruising ground, but the Loop is truly an adventure of a lifetime! You will love every day, despite the challenges! The challenges are part of the growth you will recognize in yourself as you meet the new world you are about to explore.

I lived by these words on the loop: (adapted from Henry David Thoreau)

I went to sea because I wished to live deliberately, to confront only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

My heart is going with you…so many wonderful memories! Enjoy! ⚓️⛴
