Plan B
Left Blind River early this morning to catch a weather window going to Thessalon. Winds were from the south west and building across the north channel creating swells that were rocking us too hard for a 3 hour drive….so we decided to turn our nose into the chop and head south. It was a much more comfortable cruise.
Video shows us going into the swells…still rough but as soon as we got close to the south shore we were well protected by the islands and the last 2 hours of our cruise were quite pleasant.
Drummond Island is the last island in that chain of islands and the only one belonging to the US. As soon as we got safely tied up we checked in with Border Security on an App and after a short video chat with the agent from the Sault we were cleared for entry. The App is new for boaters, got to love technology….when it works. 😣
Gorgeous day here…..we sit on the back deck to watch another beautiful sunset.
