Day 2 on the Divide
We were anchored near our first of 4 locks for the day with many loopers in the vicinity. We pulled up the anchor shortly after the sunrise.
The Whitten lock was a whopper at 88 feet down. We exchanged pictures with the boat ahead of us all day so you will see some good pics of Red Rover.
We were in a group of 5 today.
2nd came the Montgomery lock down 30 feet, 3rd the Rankin lock down 30 feet and lastly for the day is the Fulton lock down 25 feet. Very smoothly done, little commercial traffic.
4 stops show where we stopped for the locks.
Safely anchored for the night after 5 tries. The captain was getting frustrated…. We may have to invest in a different anchor going south, ours doesn’t seem to like the river bed. The sunset behind our boat.
And the moon rose behind our buddy boat.
