Pickwick Lake
Saturday morning was raining and since we were just around the corner from our next stop we had a lazy morning. Then the wind started howling….we didn’t pull up the anchor until noonish.
Our much anticipated company arrived soon after our arrival. My nephews Michael, wife Stephanie with kids Aiden and Lexi and Charles, wife Camille with kids Luke, Micah, Ellie and Zeek. They live in Memphis, 2 hour drive from here…thrilled they were able to make the time in their very busy schedules.
What fun, this is the most energy/action Red Rover has ever seen. They left shortly after dinner to leave two old soles wondering what hit them. ❤️❤️
Today we borrowed a courtesy car from the marina and drove to Shilo National Military Park.
Although we both found it very interesting, the abundance of facts was mind numbing. This was the sight of a great civil war battle. The area is huge so we did parts of an audio tour in our vehicle. It was amazing how they pieced together what battalion was doing what, where, when and to who.

Tomorrow we head south…we have 3 nights planned at anchor before our next marina stop and 4 locks.
