Merry Christmas everyone…


We are now in Palmetto, just across manatee river from Bradenton. The marina Riviera Dunes is beautiful, clean with wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Several of our neighbors are live aboards….they all came out to help us tie up and welcome us…..🥰



We saw 2 manatees surface in front of our boat here in the marina…..so cool. Going through a cold snap but the warm Florida weather should return before the end of the week. We had the pleasure of joining Will and Joy on their boat, along with Dave and Lainee for a wine and cheese Christmas Eve. My brother Norm and his wife Jeannine arrive tomorrow for a few days visit….can’t wait.

We are here for a month….flying home January 4th-18th. Can’t wait to hug our kids and grandson….miss them on this too quiet Christmas 🎄

  Yup…New Adventures await us…..Loved every minute!!!  We have listed her with the broker who sold her to us, Gerry Zidner.  You can see her listing on boat dealers.ca.  We are back onboard  after our trip north. We had a nice trip back to Canada 🇨🇦…Lori and Dan’s baby shower had a great turn out…fun visit with my sister Louise and cousin Joanne….cloudy eclipse and celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. Fellow Loopers taking our picture as they go by the marina while we were away.  Back on the move…..we left Wacca Wache marina in SC on April 13th….waiting for high winds to calm.  4 long days on the move and 4 nights at anchor leave us well positioned to cross the Albemarle Sound and weather conditions are perfect. Our first time going through Coinjock, a stop at their dock and diner at their restaurant. House specialty is Prime Rib that Richard enjoyed and I had the Ribeye….it was very nice.   Richard and Thérèse’s boating adventure has come to an end and what an adventure it has been. Red Rover has been sold and will be heading to her new home in Halifax.  ~~~~~~ We are moving into a condo in downtown Stouffville in close proximity to our children and grandchildren.  We look forward to what comes next.  Thank you for following along;  we have enjoyed your comments and questions.

Bahamas, Green Turtle Cay

  We left Titusville Marina on January 6th….beautiful cruising day, lots of dolphins 🐬  We anchored out by Pelican Island for the night… Docked into Fort Pierce Marina for two nights waiting for high winds to pass before moving on.  A nerve racking 15 minutes of “seek immediate shelter tornado warnings in the area” alarms on our phones…scary, but it passed us without incident. Onto West Palm Beach…. Beautiful area, impressive homes….Stupid money 🤑.  We are anchored for the night and set for a 5am departure for our crossing to the Bahamas, West End on Grand Bahamas Island. We arrived by noon….no pictures of our crossing as I spent most of it drugged and below decks feeling green 🤢.  It wasn’t a bad crossing, just a little rolly.  Many boats pulled in after us that day as it was the only weather window permitting the crossing in a while. We spent 4 nights here, pinned down by high winds and rough seas.  It is a very nice area, so we make the best of it. Calm weather on Monday the 15th
