 2022 was such a great year for us, we are so grateful. Cheers to an even better 2023 for all of us. 

This is our December recap. We didn’t put in as many miles as previous months. The rest has been nice.


Christmas dinner just the 2 of us, missing our children and grandson. 


Christmas zoom, and yes that is the best picture I could get of them all in the frame at the same time 


My brother and his wife Jeannine drove over from Titusville on Boxing Day for a few days visit. So great to be with family to celebrate the holidays. 


We are loving these Bavarian Pretzels and they seem to get bigger the further south we come. 



Visit to Anna Maria Island, and Longboat Key with a stop at the Ugly Grouper for lunch. 


Weather was a little cool so we played games and did some shopping including the Red Barn Flea Market in Bradenton….great fun and treasures to be had there. 


We had a lovely visit and hope to spend more time with them while cruising in their sandbox. 

We fly back to Canada 🇨🇦 in 4 days. Can’t wait for those very special hugs.

  Yup…New Adventures await us…..Loved every minute!!!  We have listed her with the broker who sold her to us, Gerry Zidner.  You can see her listing on boat dealers.ca.  We are back onboard  after our trip north. We had a nice trip back to Canada 🇨🇦…Lori and Dan’s baby shower had a great turn out…fun visit with my sister Louise and cousin Joanne….cloudy eclipse and celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. Fellow Loopers taking our picture as they go by the marina while we were away.  Back on the move…..we left Wacca Wache marina in SC on April 13th….waiting for high winds to calm.  4 long days on the move and 4 nights at anchor leave us well positioned to cross the Albemarle Sound and weather conditions are perfect. Our first time going through Coinjock, a stop at their dock and diner at their restaurant. House specialty is Prime Rib that Richard enjoyed and I had the Ribeye….it was very nice. Last stretch going into the outskirts of Norfolk, Virgini...

 We pushed off the wall close to 9am this morning, captain had a nice sleep in…..he needed it. The first lock of the day, up 10 feet. We are at maximum elevation of 140 feet for this canal system.  It’s all down hill from here. 👇 Three more locks today, all down. We had company today…a sail boat accompanied us from Fort Edwards to Whitehall. The canal is getting more and more narrow.  Mountains in the background as we approach Vermont. We got tied up in Whitehall, another free town dock including power and water….❤️❤️ Whitehall is the birthplace of US navy and it all started with this boat credited for winning the war of 1812 that was fought in this area. We went for a walk once the sunset, it was very hot today. Small downtown area by the waterfront park, the years have not been kind. View of Red Rover and the park from the bridge we will go under in the morning.
