Marco Island to Marathon Key

 We left Marco Island by 7am


Marco Island at a distance.



It was a perfect travel day…beautiful and calm. 


I was having a pinch me moment. 

It was a 7 hour day.



We got anchored by mid afternoon in a very nice quiet spot with several other boats heading to the keys…..it’s a great midway point.


It was an early night……..the mosquitoes swarmed as soon as dusk fell….oh, and no wifi out here. 


We were off the hook and motoring with the sunrise.

Another great dolphin day, counted 5 under our hull and these 3 on our port side. 


Beautiful travel day. 


Anchored by noon just off the west side of the island with many boats all around us. It’s a little rolly from all the boat traffic. We are here for the night. We may look for a quieter spot tomorrow.

  Yup…New Adventures await us…..Loved every minute!!!  We have listed her with the broker who sold her to us, Gerry Zidner.  You can see her listing on boat dealers.ca.  We are back onboard  after our trip north. Fellow Loopers taking our picture as they go by the marina while we were away.  Back on the move…..we left Wacca Wache marina in SC on April 13th….waiting for high winds to calm.  4 long days on the move and 4 nights at anchor leave us well positioned to cross the Albemarle Sound and weather conditions are perfect. Our first time going through Coinjock, a stop at their dock and diner at their restaurant. House specialty is Prime Rib that Richard enjoyed and I had the Ribeye….it was very nice.   Richard and Thérèse’s boating adventure has come to an end and what an adventure it has been. Red Rover has been sold and will be heading to her new home in Halifax.  ~~~~~~ We are moving into a condo in downtown Stouffville in close proximity to our children and grandchildren.  We look forward to what comes next.  Thank you for following along;  we have enjoyed your comments and questions.

Bahamas, Green Turtle Cay

  We left Titusville Marina on January 6th….beautiful cruising day, lots of dolphins 🐬  We anchored out by Pelican Island for the night… Docked into Fort Pierce Marina for two nights waiting for high winds to pass before moving on.  A nerve racking 15 minutes of “seek immediate shelter tornado warnings in the area” alarms on our phones…scary, but it passed us without incident. Onto West Palm Beach…. Beautiful area, impressive homes….Stupid money 🤑.  We are anchored for the night and set for a 5am departure for our crossing to the Bahamas, West End on Grand Bahamas Island. We arrived by noon….no pictures of our crossing as I spent most of it drugged and below decks feeling green 🤢.  It wasn’t a bad crossing, just a little rolly.  Many boats pulled in after us that day as it was the only weather window permitting the crossing in a while. We spent 4 nights here, pinned down by high winds and rough seas.  It is a very nice area, so we make the best of it. Calm weather on Monday the 15th
