Beaufort, South Carolina

 Left Sunbury April 14th, destination today is an anchorage north of Savannah, just over the boarder into North Carolina.

We have been to Savannah before so we are choosing to stop at some small towns along our route taking in the small town charm of the south.

Anchored for the night, lots of swing room, good holding what more can you ask for….oh yeah, how about a rainbow.

Saturday the 15th we are headed to Beaufort.

We cruised right by Hilton Head Island, Harbour Town Golf links, where the Heritage Classic was being played this past weekend.

 Beautiful cruising day.

We arrived just after noon and docked at Lady’s Island Marina, a short, scenic walk over the swing bridge into Historic Beaufort.

We strolled the lovely shops, and enjoyed a few drinks and a snack(brisket burnt ends 😋) at a bar….we chatted up what we thought was a local, but no….he was a looper….. David is soloing his 25’ C-Dory.  Braver than we are for sure.

~~~~~~
We stayed here 2 nights.  The marina had a courtesy vehicle so on day 2 we reprovisioned and did laundry.
Good holding and swing room,...isn't that what we all wish for?
On the way home!
Take your time. We had snow last night in Alliston.
However, golf courses are open. Now that is swing room!
