Wacca Wache, SC

Early departure, we are headed to an anchorage just south of Charleston.  Weather has been just beautiful, with cooler nights…great for sleeping.

Picture by fellow looper Diane on Greta Lynn as we pass them on the river.

Anchored in this tributary all by ourselves.  Beautiful evening.

Early start on Tuesday…..a brisk 8 degrees…looking for socks and jacket this morning.

Charleston in the distance as we cruise right on by….been there, done that…..moving on.

Trying to capture the river side homes and the awesome length of some of their docks.

Another solo anchorage with the exception of dolphins, so many in this area….they kept us entertained during cocktails.

Day 3 on the road….tonight we have a dock reservation.

So many dolphins in this area….we can see them at a distance, hunting, we think, but when they hear the boat they make a Beeline to come and play in our wake.

Under the bow.

Mom and junior…🐬

26 miles on the beautiful Waccamaw River….more trees here and a very active population of sparrows….it’s buggy. 🦟

We arrived at the Wacca Wache marina by noon, fuelled up at $3.58 a gallon, (cheapest diesel so far) and enjoyed a lovely lunch at their dockside restaurant.

That wraps up a 3 day run through South Carolina as we make tracks heading north.

Thanks for the comments, both here and on Facebook….nice to see we still have virtual passengers onboard for this adventure.
