We are going to need a boat

Image
Richard retires on June 1st and St Andrews East Golf Club is going to want the superintendent’s house back.  We are going to be homeless….. NO pressure. What style, size, budget, what options;  needs, wants, must haves, with no boat ownership experience the whole thing is quite overwhelming and stressful.  We were thinking of spending more on this boat than our family home in Newmarket.  When we started looking a few years ago we loved the power catamarans, stable and roomy with lots of extra sleeping space for all those grandkids that we didn’t even have yet (we have one now, Atlas was born January 23rd). Then we thought maybe the trawler, with better fuel consumption and great stability.  But “oh look at these Motor Yachts”…..beautiful living space but more “rolly”.  Did I mention I get seasick? 🤢 And round and round we went going from one style to an other until Covid.  Price of used boats went up and up as inventory became more and more limited.  Seems to be a thing for Richard

Some refer to it as chasing 80 degrees or cruise until the butter melts…..being Canadian, tha
