Baie Fine

Left Killarney with our very first passengers heading to
Baie Fine.

Richard’s sister Brenda and her husband Peter enjoying the view from the Pilothouse. Peter wearing my headset hamming it up for the camera.

Captain and his best mate.

Baie Fine is a Fjord…3 hour trip from Killarney.

Beautiful day….beautiful cruising.

Took us a few tries to get the anchor to hold, just around the corner from The Pool.

Peter brought cigars….he’s a bad influence.

Day 2 we all board Alikat for a trip up to The Pool.

Hike up to Topaz Lake…..we took a wrong turn and missed the turn off so got a few more steps in.

Beautiful crystalline lake with white and pink quartzite mountains surrounded with lush forest.

Water was, as we say in Canada, refreshing.

After cooling off we hiked a little higher for this view of The Pool and the boats anchored below.

Back to Red Rover

Relaxing, swimming, dinner and card game which I won 😎

Back to Killarney early Saturday morning to drop of these  two characters…..come back anytime. It was a blast.

Wow! What can we say? We had an amazing 3 days on Red Rover with El Capitaine and his first (and only) mate! Beautiful weather and scenery, delicious food, fun games, relaxing reading time, enjoyable trek uphill (both ways) to Lake Topaz (even though we somehow ended up on the 80km loop trail and did at least 46 km before we came across a hiker who told us we were on the wrong trail!!) Okay...maybe 46 km is a slight exaggeration... Anyway, we had a great time cruising with Richard and Therese. Thank you for your awesome hospitality and including us on your adventure. Only an hour and a half from home and yet we felt like we were in another world! Love you both, Brenda and Peter xo
