Fenelon Falls

Followed a flotilla of boats this morning through Sturgeon Lake.

Short run to Fenelon falls to jockey for a space on the wall for 2 nights.  We got a spot but power pedestals we all taken up with a long line of loopers.

Our son Christopher’s friend Dan Buchan just happened to be there for lunch and recognized the boat….what are the odds.  He stopped by with his in-laws that really want to do the loop….they loved the boat and had lot’s of questions.  It was fun having them.

Ian and Casey Chapman joined us for docktails….what a great visit with these two.  Dinner across the street at Murphy’s…nice to eat out for a change and such great company.  We hope to see them again on our return trip this fall.

Lot’s of great second hand/vintage shops here.  Stocked up on puzzles and picked up a great fisher price boat for Atlas to play with when he comes onboard.

  Yup…New Adventures await us…..Loved every minute!!!  We have listed her with the broker who sold her to us, Gerry Zidner.  You can see her listing on boat dealers.ca.  We are back onboard  after our trip north. We had a nice trip back to Canada 🇨🇦…Lori and Dan’s baby shower had a great turn out…fun visit with my sister Louise and cousin Joanne….cloudy eclipse and celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. Fellow Loopers taking our picture as they go by the marina while we were away.  Back on the move…..we left Wacca Wache marina in SC on April 13th….waiting for high winds to calm.  4 long days on the move and 4 nights at anchor leave us well positioned to cross the Albemarle Sound and weather conditions are perfect. Our first time going through Coinjock, a stop at their dock and diner at their restaurant. House specialty is Prime Rib that Richard enjoyed and I had the Ribeye….it was very nice.   Richard and Thérèse’s boating adventure has come to an end and what an adventure it has been. Red Rover has been sold and will be heading to her new home in Halifax.  ~~~~~~ We are moving into a condo in downtown Stouffville in close proximity to our children and grandchildren.  We look forward to what comes next.  Thank you for following along;  we have enjoyed your comments and questions.

  We have been here a month already…. Rick and Sue arrived on January 18th…by way of water taxi from Treasure Cay. We rented a cart for the week to explore the island. Downtown….quaint little town with a lot of history….Settled by American loyalists and their slaves.  They are still rebuilding after hurricane Dorian levelled the island in 2019. Tour of town including a supply stop. Long walks on beautiful beaches, mostly to ourselves. Lot’s of laughs, games and cocktails.  Mexican train dominoes…a gift from our guests. Happy hour at the Tranquil Turtle.  Rum punch and the local Conch and Grouper. A visit to Coco Beach where the turtles and stingrays swim up to visitors hoping to be fed their favourite treat…squid.  Not knowing, we brought Romaine…they wanted nothing to do with it….☹️ Farewell to Rick and Sue….great visit as always. A very quiet marina…. Until high winds had all these boats seaking shelter from forecasted 40 knot gusts…..the wind has been relentl...
